These family pleasing treats are a unique spin on Rice Krispies Treats by using Potato Chips instead of Rice Krispies cereal.

  • 4 T butter
  • 1 10oz bag marshmallows
  • 1 T milk
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 6 cups crushed ridged potato chips (e.g. Ruffles or Lays)
  1. Grease 8x8 casserole dish using wrapper from butter
  2. Measure chips and slightly crush (not too much)
  3. Melt butter in a large pan
  4. Add marshmallows stirring constantly
  5. When melted add vanilla, milk and mix well
  6. Remove from heat and fold chips into marshmallow mix
  7. Press lightly into casserole dish
  8. Once cooled, slice, serve and enjoy!
The tablespoon of milk keeps the marshmallows light, fluffy and chewy!
Stick with ridged chips. Non-ridge chips will make these too dense.
